Before I am going to continue my African journey, a bit of Europe is in order, don’t you think? Since January has just begun and the cheerfully lit ornaments of snowmen and Santa on the sleigh haven’t been entirely removed from my South African, tropical neighbourhood, you might indeed enjoy a bit of a frostier destination.
To me, the new year hasn’t begun until I have had a chance to go on a walk meditating about who I am and what I want to do next while breathing in the new year’s air. As a mother of little children, that is not always immediately possible, cheerful walks with one boy on a bike and the other trying to climb out of the pram do not count as soul-searching aiming at arriving in the new time.
