I heard these words from a dear friend a friend that i respect (which i know is mutual) but never the less, it was said out loud and therefore it existed.
I wasn’t shocked to hear it either, as a matter of fact i had actually said to my husband just the week prior, something exactly along those lines. if anything i didn’t feel the “common” identity crisis which is so often commented about in these instances (which surprisingly there is a lot of these cases.) I actually guess i felt a bit relieved, since the friend that said this to me, also said in the same breath, we can find the solution together and i will help you every step of the way.
so little shock, certainly no anger towards my friend but a little hint of anger towards the “institution” i mean, come on, i have lived my whole life as Jewish i cant imagine myself as anything…
