Uttwil, Switzerland – 19 September 2013 – An exceptional hotel in the shape of a zeppelin is to be built at the Bodensee. The Zeppelin hotel should exactly be as large as the legendary airship LZ 127 (“Graf Zeppelin”), which was built in the 1920s in Friedrichshafen. The building will stand on 30 meters high stilts and will include 500 suites, restaurants, meeting rooms, spa, and a shopping arcade.
The architect estimated the construction cost of around 200 million euros. An investor is still to be found, it is said. For example, the money could come from a shipowner or a shipbuilding company – the Zeppelin Hotel is a kind of stationary cruise ship, Iseli said.
