Some days I let my wanderlust get the better of me and start making imaginary plans for trips I’d like to take. On good days I decide to a take a leap of faith, pick one such plan within my own financial means, and make it come true. There’s an imaginary map in my head (like, mind map, get it??!) on which I chart my progress.
The one thing I haven’t done, but have always wanted to do (top of the bucket list, I’d say), is to travel solo. The closest I’ve gotten was flying to Brazil alone to live and work with a whole bunch of new faces for 7 weeks, but even so, between dancing to Ai Se Eu Te Pego and infinitely many beers strangers soon became friends and I had them for company when we travelled.
