I don’t have a great intro to this topic to grab your attention. I don’t have a crazy story. What I have is facts. The fact that mental illness is in the church and people act like it isn’t.
Mental illness is in the form of depression, anxiety. OCD, self harm, anorexia, bulimia. And it’s in the church.

Do I struggle from those issues because I don’t have faith? No! When I struggle with depression and self harm is usually when I reach out to God the most. Why? Because Christians don’t talk about this openly. I couldn’t turn to my friends.
It isn’t always because people don’t want to help its because people don’t know how to help and that’s ok. But we need to learn how to help.
