Happy Friday everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything this week, but I have been/still am under the weather for the last several days (which means I am pretty much worthless at the moment). The weather has turned prematurely chilly here and between that and the unholy war Nature is leveling against my sinuses, I’ve been huddled under the blanket sniffling helplessly listening to music, daydreaming, and trying to catch up on my reading list when my foggy head will allow. I will have a proper post for you all hopefully early next week as I’m hoping to kick some serious allergy/sinus butt this weekend!

After a rather luxurious overnight bus from Mendoza, that which included both appetizers (which I first mistook for dinner) and after-dinner champagne, I arrived in Buenos Aires. One sluggish and hot subway ride and walk from the bus station later, I arrived at our hostel, confirmed the reservation and proceeded to wait for Kristie to arrive. Her flight was scheduled to land at 11am, and I only made it to the hostel at 10am, so the timing was seemingly perfect.
Nevertheless, we forgot to account for United Airlines’ total lack of ability. Turns out she sat at the gate ON THE AIRPLANE for 5 hours because something was wrong with the navigational unit*, which then caused the crew to time-out. Then she was diverted to Washington D.C. at 4am. And then they only offered $125 compensation for putting her in Buenos Aires a good 13 hours late. Cue my guilt…
